Join us for a webinar featuring Kim Mendoza, Assistant Professor at UIUC, as she delves into her research exploring the impact of innovative technologies on stakeholders involved in financial reporting. Her study focuses on understanding how evolving technologies influence and shape the roles of various participants in the financial reporting process. In particular, she investigates behavioral biases that individuals demonstrate in their interactions with technology.


About Presenter:
Kim Mendoza is an Assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a Grant Thornton Faculty Fellow and the Director of the Deloitte Foundation Center for Business Analytics.  Kim earned a B.S. in accounting from Loyola Marymount University and an M.S. and PhD in accounting from the University of Washington. Joining Gies College of Business back in 2017, she teaches several Data Analytics courses which cover concepts from data visualization to machine learning to automation. She has also developed a course that was awarded the American Accounting Association’s 2021 Innovation in Accounting Education award. In addition to teaching, Kim’s research focuses on the intersection of accounting, technology, and psychology.
