  Assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Sh
 e is a Grant Thornton Faculty Fellow and the Director of the Deloitte Foun
 dation Center for Business Analytics. &nbsp\;Kim earned a B.S. in accounti
 ng from Loyola Marymount University and an M.S. and PhD in accounting from
  the University of Washington.&nbsp\;Joining Gies College of Business back
  in 2017\, she teaches several Data Analytics courses which cover concepts
  from data visualization to machine learning to automation. She has also d
 eveloped a course that was awarded the American Accounting Association’s 2
 021 Innovation in Accounting Education award. In addition to teaching\, Ki
 m’s research focuses on the intersection of accounting\, technology\, and
